 Textured Ring Bands Sunday, September 19. 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, OR 5:00 pm. In just two hours you’ll learn a few simple techniques that will allow you to leave wearing your new ring! Working with brass and copper sheet or wire, I’ll show you how to add texture to the surface of the metal, creating a one-of-a-kind piece. Once the texture has been added you’ll move onto forming the metal into a ring band. To do this we’ll heat the metal to the annealing point, softening it and allowing us to shape it into the form we want. Next, you’ll be able to solder the ring, enabling it to keep its size. We’ll work with pliers, hammers, files, and a small torch! Come prepared to get your hands a little dirty and have a lot of fun. Instructor: Jennifer Wells.
