 This Labor Day weekend we are excited to once again join Wildlands Restoration Volunteers, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District, and the US Forest Service to restore riparian and wet meadow habitats in the sagebrush shrublands of Miller Ranch and Henkel Road, in the picturesque Ohio Creek Valley. Volunteers will use innovative, yet simple, restoration methods, specifically constructing small rock structures to raise the water table to support plants and insects needed by wildlife. This work will especially benefit Gunnison sage-grouse.
