 Calling all Elk Avenue Business Owners! Please join the Town of Crested Butte on May 20th to discuss a possible reconfiguration of Elk Avenue for this summer. The Town of Crested Butte is considering reconfiguring Elk Avenue as a one-way street from 5th street to 1st street to provide more space for businesses to operate outdoors. This potential reconfiguration would be temporary and would be taken down concurrent with Gunnison County moving into phase 3 of the re-opening plan, or if businesses decided they no longer need the extra space. The Town is seeking the input from Elk Avenue business owners regarding your needs pertaining to your operations. For example, we would like to better understand if you would like more space to operate in front of your business, or if you would prefer to continue to have public parking in front of your business. Please join the Town at the times below pertaining to the block that your business is on. We will meet outdoors on each block during the corresponding time listed below. We kindly ask that you wear a mask, maintain 6 ft. of social distancing, and come with an open mind. Multiple Town staff will be present to split into groups smaller than 10.
