SAT OCT 27 & SUN OCT 28 Scorn not the Sonnet! Combining passionate feeling with precise logic, expansive form with tight turns, the sonnet is a lively combination of about 140 syllables, now nearly 800 years old. It continues to fascinate us with its possibilities and power. Join Western Slope Poet Laureate David Rothman for a rocket ride through the history of the sonnet - reading many of the greatest from the past and present, and including exercises and a workshop to get you going on writing your own and joining this exciting conversation. Tuition includes light refreshments. Instructor: David Rothman. 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. $75 Click here for the event website |
