tienne Tolono is coming to the Gunnison valley to teach a series of fun and dance workshops! Friday Jan 10th: 5:30-7:00pm: Drum class Shaman’s Corner in Gunnison 133 E. Tomichi Ave.! $15 for class bring a drum if you have one! Saturday Jan 11th: 10-11:30am: African Dance 11:45-1:15pm: African Drum Crested butte pump room 306 Maroon Ave. Sunday Jan 12th: 10-11:30am: African Dance Same created butte location Crested Butte classes $15/class...2 for $25 or all 3 for $35! Etienne Tolno is from Guinea, West Africa. He has been studying West African music since his early teens and drumming professionally with various companies in Guinea since his early twenties. He is a member and strong leader of the Kissidugu Foundation of Music, Dance, and Eduction, a cultural exchange learning center founded by his brother and world renown teacher Gabriel Fara Tolno. He has been in the United States less than a year and loves sharing his culture and music with new audiences. His joyful spirit and energetic demeanor provide a fun and creative environment for learning and connecting. We hope you'll join us for a fun weekend of music and West African culture! |
