.png) On Saturday, July 9th, Stepping Stones Children’s Center will host its second “Touch a Truck” event, a family-friendly gathering that will allow kids to honk, climb on and explore the vehicles that serve and protect Crested Butte and Gunnison and you can meet the hometown heroes who operate them. We will be raising money to help pay for our new school van. Participating trucks include emergency vehicles from the Crested Butte Fire Protection District and Gunnison County Sheriff's department; construction equipment from Somrak Concept + Structure and Pinnacle Construction and Roofing; a concrete pump crane from Sparta; a truck from Western Mountain Rescue Team and CB Search and Rescue; a bus from GWSD, Mountain Express and our local RTA bus; trucks from the Town of Crested Butte’s Public Works Department and the Town of Mount Crested Butte’s Water and Sanitation District; a fish transportation truck from the Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery; and more. We will also have a bake sale, raffle, book sale and face painting. |
