 FREE DITCH PICNIC, Saturday, May 16, 10:00-1:00 pm, Legion Park Pavilion: You’re invited to a celebration and blessing of the return of Gunnison River Water to the historic town ditch system. See old friends and make new ones at this community event. Enjoy speeches, education tables, poetry, arts and crafts, and a free lunch. Let’s celebrate all that the town ditches have given us and our summer visitors for 146 years. Prior to their construction, there was not a single tree in the town of Gunnison! Organized by WCU students. |
