Please join at the Gunnison Library us on Thursday, February 7 for a poetry reading and community potluck with special guest: poet aaron a. abeyta. Each poem, those personal gestures of honesty, compassion, healing and joy are our attempts to enter a temporal and sacred space – where the universal and the personal meet at the confluence of our lives and the life of the reader. What is the stuff – the magical, the mythical, the scars, the many homes of our hearts – that exist in a poem? Please join us for a night of poetry, contemplation and insight with award winning poet, aaron a. abeyta, where these questions, emotions and the intersections of our lives come together for what promises to be a powerful night of poetry, human interaction and community. Attendees are encouraged to bring a potluck meal to share with members of the community. Schedule of Events: 3:30-5pm: Writing Workshop w/ aaron 5pm: The Community Room is open for the evening 5:30pm: Community Potluck Dinner 6:30pm: Reading & Questions Learn more about aaron abeyta here.
