 AN INNOVATIVE CLIMATE MARCH! --Have you ever been to a march or a rally and realized that even though it felt fantastic to be together with everyone and hear all the speeches, you didn’t actually DO anything that had a direct effect on the issue? Well, the Gunnison Valley Climate Crisis Coalition is trying something different! GVC3 is organizing a unique march/rally that will be starting at 5pm 9/23 at the 4-Way in Crested Butte, proceeding down Elk Avenue, then ending in a rally at Rainbow Park. Prior to the march while everyone is gathering, we will collect participant’s emails. During the rally, after each short speech, an email climate action will be sent to everyone’s phone. For instance, people everyone can receive a senator’s email address, cut-and-paste a short paragraph, and send out the request for action right on the spot! We believe in the power of numbers!! GVC3 has discovered that raising their voices in a constructive manner can actually bring change. Imagine the powerful changes MANY voices could bring! With our smoky skies, increasing temperatures and strange weather patterns, it’s time to take action for the climate viability of our planet. We need to take ACTION to protect our children’s and grandchildren’s futures!
