Join us at the Crested Butte Library on Tuesday, July 11 for a special Author Talk with Monica Mesa Dasi – local yogini, author, mother, and founder of Yoga For The Peaceful Studio in Crested Butte. She is a mentor, channeler, plant medicine woman, and an activist that leads the Soul On Fire Movement. Monica will discuss her new book “With You Forever: Surviving My Son’s Suicide.” Monica states, “This book is written from my heart with channeled messages from my son Cheyne about love, life, loss, and healing from grief. If this book finds you, there is a reason. There are messages for you, for your loved ones, and for this life journey we are all on together. Cheyne and I want you to know that you are loved. You are Divine. You are meant to fly, even with broken wings. I invite you to take our hand, turn the page, and let your soul breathe in the words that I pray will fill you with the peace beyond all sorrow.” CB State of Mind is a local organization whose aim is to reduce the high rate of suicide in our community. Their mission is to make sure residents have access to mental health care, regardless of financial means and providing education to prevent suicide and save lives. Resources will be provided to learn more about and become involved with CBSOM.
