High Country Conservation Advocates (HCCA) is partnering with the Town of Crested Butte for a wet meadow restoration project along the Slate River. Volunteers will assist in stabilizing hand-built wood structures. This will include wire removal, willow planting, and shoveling sod for further stability. Participants will also be learn about the methods for restoration, why it's important, and the benefits of projects like this one. The project partners and HCCA also agreed that this is a great opportunity to involve youth community members, so interested people should feel free to bring their families! |
